Andrew Pitts

Money Observer editor Andrew Pitts began his career in financial journalism at Euromoney magazine in 1991. He joined Money Observer in 1994 and became editor in May 1998. Andrew was named best Financial Consumer Journalist 2003 and 2008 by the Association of Investment Companies. He holds the Personal Finance Society’s Financial Planning Certificate.

Heather Connon

Heather Connon

Heather is Investment Editor of the Observer newspaper. She qualified as a chartered accountant and has been writing about financial markets, companies and investments since the early 1990s. She has been a regular contributor to Money Observer since 1999 and is the author of the monthly Share Spotlight column.

Helen Pridham

Helen Pridham

After gaining a degree in economics, Helen became a journalist specialising in personal finance. Formerly assistant editor of Planned Savings, she has been a regular contributor to Money Observer since 1983. She has written four books on personal finance and has also won a number of awards and commendations for her work.

Lindsay Vincent

Lindsay Vincent

A former assistant business editor of The Observer, Lindsay Vincent initially sought an accountancy career with the New Zealand Herald. The publishers gave him a typewriter instead. He went on to spend four years with The Australian Financial Review before coming to Britain in 1969 and joining The Guardian. He has been a regular contributor to Money Observer since the mid 1980s.

Fiona Hamilton

Fiona Hamilton

A former investment manager and analyst at NM Rothschild, Fiona has been a regular contributor to Money Observer since 1989 and also contributes to a variety of financial titles. She is also a ghost writer of articles for prominent financiers.

Iain Murray

Iain Murray

A regular contributor to Money Observer since its early days, Iain graduated in economics and politics and has been a journalist for longer than he cares to remember. He writes for a variety of newspapers and magazines and claims to lead a blameless existence in north London.

Jim Levi

Jim Levi

Jim has been a financial journalist for more than 30 years, writing on a wide variety of topics for a number of publications. He was deputy business editor of the Observer in the mid-1980s and previously assistant City editor of the London Evening Standard. He has contributed to Money Observer since 1990.

Alexander Garrett

Alexander Garrett

Alexander contributes to Money Observer on a broad range of issues. Following spells at Marketing Week and Campaign, he spent seven years on the Business desk at The Observer before turning freelance and swapping his city office for a rural retreat in deepest Wiltshire, from where he writes about business, investment and property.

Ceri Jones

Ceri Jones

Ceri was the editor of Investors Chronicle between 1994 and 2002, and now writes freelance articles about all aspects of investment and personal finance for a variety of publications. She has been contributing to Money Observer since 2003.

Phil Leiwy

Phil Leiwy

Phil is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales and Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. After tax advisory roles at major accountancy firms, he taught taxation at university for six years. He has been in private practice since 1997 and has been writing on tax issues for Money Observer since 1989.

Faith Glasgow

Faith Glasgow

A regular contributor to Money Observer since 2001, Faith spent several years at FT Business magazines, most recently as surveys editor for the Investors Chronicle. She has been contributing freelance personal finance and property articles to a wide range of publications since 1998.

Sam Barrett

Sam Barrett

Starting her career in financial statistics, Sam moved into journalism in 1997. After holding a number of positions, including editor of Health Insurance magazine, Sam went freelance in 2000 and now contributes to a range of magazines and websites.
