The fund seeks to seek income and long-term capital appreciation. The investment policy is to invest principally in immovable property, with an emphasis on commercial property, and/or property related transferable securities the issuers of which are domiciled in, or have significant operations or interests in, the Asia Pacific region and Australasia. The Fund may also invest in units in regulated and unregulated collective investment schemes, money market instruments, deposits, cash and near cash and derivatives. Derivatives may be used for the purposes of efficient portfolio management.

Daniel is the fund manager for the firm’s flagship Asian real estate fund, the Aviva Investors Asia Pacific Property Fund. He is also responsible for overseeing other direct real estate funds and providing support on product development and direct real estate investment solutions in the region. Daniel joined Aviva Investors in 2010. Daniel has been working in the Asia Pacific real estate industry for the past nine years. Prior to joining Aviva Investors, Daniel was Managing Director and Board Member of Macquarie Goodman Asia based in Hong Kong where he set up and had ongoing responsibility for the management of Macquarie Goodman’s Hong Kong Industrial wholesale property fund (circa $1.2billion), representing global pension and sovereign wealth fund investors. Prior to this, Daniel was Executive Director Investment – Australia, at Cushman & Wakefield where he set up and led the institutional cross-border investment business. Daniel has also worked for CB Richard Ellis in China where he was Managing Director – Shanghai and, Executive Director - Industrial & Logistics Services Asia. Based in Shanghai, he was responsible for the Shanghai operation and the regional industrial business.
